Every dentist knows that he or she cannot do it alone. The success of the practice in helping patients create health is a TEAM effort, and a highly coordinated one.
This two-day course contains topics specific to each team member (administrative/front desk, clinical assistant and hygienist), including break-out sessions and hands-on exercises. Participants will also meet as a full group to consider action plans leading to ownership and intentional implementation of the principles of cooperation and responsibility discussed and practiced in the workshop.
You, the dentist, do not need to attend the workshop.
Participants will learn include:
ADMINISTRATIVE –
Who is your patient?
The rationale for the comprehensive evaluation
Why occlusion and function are important at the front desk
CLINICAL –
Facebows and bite records
Your role in engaging the patient in the operatory
Clinical photography for the dental assistant
HYGIENE –
Risk assessment in the hygiene operatory
Clinical photography for the dental hygienist
Your individual role on the team
… And much more!
