Company Joins 20 Supplier Partners to Provide Personal Hygiene Products and Related Items for People Receiving Treatment Far from Home
Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSIC), the world’s largest provider of health care products and services to office-based dental, animal health and medical practitioners, today announced that it has joined 20 of its supplier partners to provide 3,000 Welcome Kits to American Cancer Society Hope Lodge facilities, which will then distribute the kits to people undergoing cancer treatment far from their homes.
Hope Lodge is a network of free temporary housing services across the U.S. for cancer patients and their loved ones, and each welcome kit contains personal hygiene products and related items to help make guests’ stays comfortable, including toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, skin cream, tissues, mouthwash, and a personal journal. The donation is an initiative of Henry Schein Cares, the Company’s global corporate social responsibility program.
“We at Henry Schein are humbled by the strength and courage demonstrated by Hope Lodge guests in their fight against cancer, a fight made even more daunting by new surroundings in an unfamiliar city,” said Stanley M. Bergman, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Henry Schein. “We hope that our Welcome Kit program, which is so generously supported by our supplier partners, provides these incredible people with some of the comforts of home.”
This is the eighth consecutive year that Henry Schein has provided Welcome Kits to Hope Lodge facilities, but the Company doubled its usual donation for 2016. Hope Lodge will distribute the kits to people staying in 26 facilities throughout the year.

Henry Schein’s supplier partners that have donated products and support to the Hope Lodge Welcome Kit program include: 3M, AllWays, Clorox, Colgate, Coltene, Dentsply, GC America, Gojo, GSK, Heraeus, Hu-Friedy, Kerr Group, Medico, Medicom, Oral-B, Revive, Septodont, Sunstar, Team Technologies, and Water Pik.
