An ongoing investigation in to a Memphis area dentist by the Shelby County Health Department continues to reveal unsettling details.
Dr. Alfred Brown’s SPT Dental Clinic was closed by the SCHD on July 1 after officials discovered unsanitary conditions. The investigation identified breaches in infection control which may have put patients at risk for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV.
On Monday, the SDHC sent out 1,500 letters to previous patients of the clinic.
