One of the largest one-day comprehensive dental meetings in North America, Winter Clinic promises to deliver a world-class clinical program and trade show. Organized by the Toronto Academy of Dentistry along with the support of the four Toronto Component Societies, Winter Clinic welcomes attendees from across the province and throughout Canada and is sure to have something of interest for every member of the dental team.

Winter Clinic is more than a network of knowledgeable professionals willing to offer their experience and advice to newer members. All those involved in Winter Clinic take a vested interest in shaping the future of their profession.

High-calibre speakers who are experts in their fields…

 Dr. Herbert Bader will be delivering A Review of Contemporary Periodontal Management and Adjunctive Oral Cancer Screening. This session complements the recent campaign by the ODA on dentists being your oral-health doctors.  Dr. James C. Kessler will present on All-Ceramic Restorations, Minus the Sales Hype and Bonded Ceramic Restorations – Procedures, Indications and Limitations. In October 2010, Dr. Kessler became the Chair of the Department of Education at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Key Biscayne, Florida. Since 1972, the Pankey Institute has served as an institute for advanced continuing dental education with the mission of “bridging the gap between what is known and what is practiced.”  Dr. Uche Odiatu and Mrs. Kari Odiatu have become ambassadors for a healthy lifestyle. As authors, speakers, fitness educators and NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association)-certified personal trainers, Uche and Kary have inspired people and debunked fitness myths on national television, radio and in magazines with their energetic and enthusiastic message. They bring a spark of clarity to the often puzzling world of fitness and share their message with insight, compassion and humour.  Major Richard Groves and Major Ellen Sim will deliver a special presentation by the Canadian Forces Dental Unit providing valuable insight in forensic identification and highlight the significant role played by the Canadian Forces Dental Team in the Haiti relief effort.  Abracadabra – A Dental Magic Seminar! Louis Melamed (aka The Great Loudini) has been recognized as the most original magician by the International Brotherhood of Magicians three of the past four years and is also in the Guinness Book of World Records. For more than 15 years The Great Loudini has spoken at dental meetings and coached thousands of dental professionals on how to use the art of magic to reduce patient anxiety, enhance patient compliance and promote the dental practice in a fun and memorable way.  Dr. Barbara Steinberg will be presenting on Optimal Aging for Women – Living to 100!

Winter Clinic registration includes…

Once registered you will have access to all general lectures, the exhibit floor, a box lunch and entry to the cocktail reception at the end of Winter Clinic.

The latest and greatest in dentistry…

The exhibit show floor will showcase the latest and greatest in dental products and innovations. There will be more than 100 exhibitors and 180 booths, offering everything from financial services to office equipment.

A Silent Auction!…

All registrants will receive Winter Clinic Bucks with their registration package. Additional Winter Clinic Bucks may be obtained from exhibitors and at games throughout the exhibit floor. Registrants will then bid by signing the Bid Sheet in each participating exhibitor’s booth.

The most impressive aspect of Winter Clinic is the individual passion that everyone has for what they do. This passion resonates throughout the dental community’s collective commitment to support its members and advocate for the profession.
