On Monday, September 9th, 2013, http://www.campbellsmiles.com awarded its 20th Smile for a Lifetime Orthodontic Scholarship Recipient. Daniel Agnelli was recently chosen by the Wilmington Smile for a Lifetime Board of Directors to be the next lucky child to receive the gift of a new smile! “We are just so grateful for this program!” announced Daniel’s mother, Mrs. Tamara Agnelli during the scholarship presentation which took place in the Campbell Orthodontics office. With her husband being disabled and while finding herself unemployed, the Agnelli’s were seeking to find some way in which their child, Daniel,could receive orthodontic treatment. Smile for a Lifetime was the answer! “We’re fortunate to help children from our community,” says Dr. Robert Campbell, founder and orthodontic provider for the Smile for a Lifetime Wilmington chapter. “Our mission is to create self confidence, inspire hope and change lives of children in our community and I really believe we’re doing that. My staff and I see these children come into our office and they are shy and withdrawn, but after orthodontics, we are able to see true change through greater confidence. “It’s really a privilege to be able to help…and our hope is that on some level,we inspire these children to go on and do great things in their community.”
Smile for a Lifetime of Wilmington is always accepting applications and the board meets twice a year to select the eight scholarship recipients. The board has 4 more scholarships to award for 2013.
