I was privileged on March 4th to attend the Opening Reception of the Henry Schein National Sales Conference.
As one of their invited guests, I enjoyed the rousing start to the evening, courtesy of the Toronto Raptors Dance Pak. They were followed by a team of talented hip-hop dancers who were ultimately joined onstage by Cy Elborne, President of Henry Schein Canada.
Talent really was the theme of the event-the slogan was “Schein’s Got Talent”. The sub theme was “One Customer at a Time, One Win at a Time”. With just over 400 team members and guests in the room, the excitement was evident and team spirit definitely on display!
During Cy’s comments, he acknowledged the company’s successes in the past year and many of the people who made them happen. He also discussed the company’s vision for the coming year and the increasingly important role that technology and social media will play in the dental industry.
Many of Henry Schein’s key vendors were there for the Conference and the critical role they play in Schein’s success was highlighted.
Once the formal part of the evening was over, all the attendees were treated to a lovely reception with delicious food and drinks and a wonderful opportunity for networking with friends and colleagues. My thanks to everyone at Henry Schein for including me and congratulations on a terrific event!
