Pulpdent Donates 60,000 Sealants for 60th Anniversary

To honor Pulpdent Corporations 60th anniversary, the company is sponsoring Oral Health America by providing 60,000 sealants for underserved children as part of the National Sealant Alliance’s Smiles Across America program. The National Sealant Alliance is supported by Oral Health America, an independent advocacy organization dedicated to improving oral health for Americans.

Pulpdent is donating Embrace WetBond Pit and Fissure Sealant, the first sealant that bonds to the moist tooth, along with Etch-Rite dental etching gel and Flecta Disposable Mirrors.

Pulpdent has long supported public health initiatives and community sealant programs for children. The companys founder, Dr. Harold Berk, was a professor of Pediatric Dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for 59 years. Childrens dentistry is part of the companys legacy.

Were giving a thousand thanks for each of our 60 years, says Fred Berk, Vice President and Dr. Berks son. Thats 60,000 sealants, and in addition to this important preventive measure, there is a teaching component as well. Parents and children will learn about oral hygiene and caries prevention. We tend to forget that dental caries is the most prevalent disease among children, and much of it can be prevented.

Pulpdent manufactures high-quality products for the dental profession, including adhesives, composites, sealants, cements, etching gels, calcium hydroxide products, endodontic specialties, and bonding accessories. For more information, call 800-343-4342 or visit www.pulpdent.com.
