Registration Now Open for AACD 2014 in Orlando

Registration for AACD 2014 in Orlando, the 30th anniversary scientific session of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, is now open at www.aacd.com/orlando.

AACD 2014 is cosmetic dentistry’s premier event, with headliners including Drs. Newton Fahl, Dennis Wells, Sonia Leizy and Brahm Miller. Course selection opens Friday, Dec. 6, at 8 a.m. CT. Attendees must be registered before selecting courses.

This year’s meeting celebrates the 30th anniversary of the AACD. Founded by the late Dr. Jack Kammer in 1984, the AACD has enjoyed three decades of commitment to the art, science, and evolution of cosmetic dentistry. In an executive director’s report from 1990, Kammer writes:

“One day in February of 1984, while reading the Wall Street Journal, I came across a front page article featuring a young dentist from San Francisco by the name of (AACD co-founder) Jeff Morley. The article was about cosmetic dentistry. It was a very intriguing article and I thought to myself, ‘here’s another dentist that might be interested in helping me form an Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry,’ a concept I had been nursing for some time.”

Since then, the AACD has educated tens of thousands of dental professionals in the latest methods and materials in cosmetic dentistry at its renowned annual scientific session, and the Academy has seen more than 350 members earn AACD Accreditation with another 60 earning AACD Fellowship. The AACD will celebrate its anniversary with special activities planned for the conference, which will take place at the Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee, FL.

Attendees can earn up to 30 CE at the event, with courses focusing on smile design, photography, veneers, composites, dentists and dental team-building, and more.

“Join us at AACD 2014, which will be a pivotal year for our Academy,” said Dr. Jack Ringer, AACD President. “Aside from an outstanding educational lineup you won’t find anywhere else, you’ll have a chance to celebrate the history of AACD while enjoying everything the Orlando area has to offer. Register as soon as you can!”
