Dentsply Sirona has won a “Special Mention” for its Sidexis 4 software in the coveted German Design Award 2017. This distinction is not only awarded for the software itself but also to honor the commitment of the company and designers for the development and realization of this product idea.
Bensheim/Salzburg, November 21, 2016. “Software so intuitive and innovative that even experienced users are excited about how it can only be programmed when the developers have in-depth know-how, are engaged in a continuous dialogue with users and are very committed to the job at hand,” explained Head of Imaging Systems Product Management at Dentsply Sirona Jörg Haist, which is precisely what the German Design Award 2017 honors with a “Special Mention.” The company was able to convince the 48-member jury of the annually presented German Design Award with the Sidexis 4 X-ray software.
Sidexis 4 features an intuitive user interface and ideally supports the working routines of dentists to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. Daily operations, such as taking X-rays, analyzing image data, making a diagnosis and consulting patients, are facilitated by this software. Moreover, data can be easily transferred and, for example, exported to a practice management software. The Timeline function organizes all the image data assigned to a patient in a preview according to capture date. A quick overview of the patient’s history and the ability to recall the data simplifies the daily routine of the dentist. Furthermore, the compare function enables two 3D X-ray images or up to four 2D images to be analyzed and compared simultaneously.

The prestigious German Design Award, which has been conferred since 1953 by the German Design Council, the leading center of German brand and design, recognizes innovative products and projects as well as their manufacturers and designers every year.
