6th International Symposium, Pain, Sleep & TMD

The Canadian Chapter of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain(AACP) is the voice, training vehicle and credentialing organization for all Canadian dentists to learn about TMD chronic orofacial pain, headaches and sleep disorders. We have held Annual International Symposia on these subjects in Toronto each Fall since 2007. This will become an important matter for dentists now that the CDA and ODA are actively making new billing codes for things such as sleep appliances and TMJ appliances. A level of education in these fields would be expected to use them and here is an opportunity to get the CE credits you need in these arenas of study. The March 2012 issue of Oral Health, which was totally dedicated to sleep pain and TMD. In those pages you met many of the leaders in our field. Clearly, most dentists graduate with minimal or no education in these very common and yet challenging patient conditions. The September symposium will followup on the same theme of sleep pain and TMD and the speakers are coming from all over and are the best in their fields. They include Drs. Barry Sessle, Barry glassman, Gerry Smith, Indra Narang, Derrick Nordstrom and it will be an incredible opportunity to hear them all at a single meeting. The 6th Annual International Symposium of the AACP Canadian chapter will take place at the University of Toronto Learning Centre on September 21-22, 2012 and will host a wide selection of medical and dental authorities on these subjects. You can sign up by calling Michelle at Orthodent: 1-866-833-1033.We look forward to welcoming new dental teams to show them learn how very rewarding this type of treatment can be. Our offices are full of patients suffering from daily headaches, TMJ issues and/or those who cannot sleep well. Come to Toronto to learn how to help them. You will not believe how much you can change peoples’ lives! It is very rewarding to practice with this new knowledge.
