There will soon be apps for EVERYTHING!!!!!!!

October 2nd 2010,
Christchurch,
New
Zealand
.

New iPhone app
“Tooth Camp” aims to improve the oral health of iPhone users the world over,by
providing a virtual boot camp style drill instructor to motivate the user to
brush their teeth for the recommended minimum 2
minutes.

“I know that I’m
supposed to brush for 2 minutes”, explains Mr Brown, “but I have a real problem
with getting bored and quitting early. With Tooth Camp I have someone to keep
me focussed – it’s a form of peer pressure! It’s also a lot of fun, so the 2
minutes goes really quickly.”

The app guides the
user through the 4 quadrants of the mouth, telling them when to change quadrant,
and also includes oral health tips such as brushing along the gum line, and
reminders to floss, brush the tongue, and change toothbrushes
regularly.

There are also up to
3 daily reminders that can be set, and the app is fully customizable to allow
the user to select their own duration (2, 3, 4, or 5 minutes), and the quadrant
brushing order.
