The consumer has responded to the high cost of dental services by simply rationing his/her purchase of the same. Witness the ADA’s reports about the continuing decline in dental visits, and some of the sorry tales on LinkedIn about how hygienists need a Plan B for their careers.
It is time to introduce new services which appeal to the budget and the over-arching healthcare concerns of the community. It is called evidence-based prevention.
