Sometimes a great notion

Writing this blog would be arduous if not for the magic of RSS feeds and “alerts” as in we need more “lerts”.

This piece just passed across my iPAD from a human resources blog I monitor…..something to post in your team area, you know the space behind the Pan and beside the utility room and used as a broom closet….I joke……

Powerful Beyond Measure

How many of you have had dreams shattered because someone told you No!

·        What dreams did you give up on,

·        What could you have been in life.

When you were a child, your life was filled with possibilities and wondrous dreams, there was nothing you could not do. As a child, you ignored being told No, and did it anyway, learning from your mistakes or building your confidence by trying.

But somewhere along the way you changed, you stopped being you. You let people stick a finger in your face and tell you you’re no good, and when things got hard, you started looking for something to blame, you gave up in the middle of the fight.

Let me tell you something you already know, the world isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, its a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanentlyif you let it.

You, me, or nobody, is going to hit as hard as life; but it isn’t about how hard you hit, its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward.

That’s how winning is done. Because if you’re willing to go through all the adversity you gotta go through, to get to where you want to go, who’s got the right to stop you.

I mean maybe some of you have things you never finished, something you really wanted to do; And you’re toldNo, even after you’ve payed your dues, who’s got the right to tell you No, whoNobody.

Now if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth. But you’ve gotta be willing to take the hits; and not pointing fingers, saying you aren’t where you want be, because of him, or her, or anybody else. Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!

Another reason many of us fall short on our dreams is because of fearOur deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us most. We are afraid of what others think of us; we don’t want them to think we are conceited, boastful or arrogant. We down play our own self-worth to satisfy others.

However; your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. The world is looking for strong leaders to follow, those that have the confidence and ability to lead others to victory.

We are all meant to shine, just as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone of us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. Leadership sets the tone for the masses; you must lead with confidence.

Yo
u can do anything you wish in life if you have the desire, work ethic and persistence to make it happen. Don’t give up on your dreams or let others discourage you, help those around you achieve all they are capable of.

Remember you are powerful beyond measure, fight for your dreams.
