There is no need to discuss this case, it speaks to itself. Small field of view cone beam tomography is the standard of care for diagnosis in dentistry. The 2D flat field cannot be considered sufficient in the vast majority of cases to be diagnostically accurate, specific or relevant. Cases like this would seemingly be apparent by clinical assessment alone, but in all candour, after years in the trenches, it’s just not case……..see for yourself.
