Unique Nano-hybrid Composite Performs Well in In Vivo Dental Studies

(Nanowerk News) Heraeus Kulzer, LLC, the worldwide leader in dental esthetics, announced today that its Venus Diamond nano-hybrid composite was highly rated in an 18-month in vivo clinical study conducted by the Department of Restorative Dentistry of the Dental School at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitat (LMU) in Munich, Germany. Venus Diamond achieved consistently high marks in all tested categories, including surface texture, color match, anatomic form surface, anatomic form marginal step, marginal integrity and marginal discoloration. The clinical findings were presented at the 45th Congress of the Continental European Division of the International Association for Dental Research in the Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary by Prof. Jurgen Manhart. The presentation verified that Venus Diamond’s contemporary nano-hybrid composites combine excellent mechanical properties with outstanding esthetic results in posterior cavities, enabling dental practices to produce natural and durable restorations with reduced effort.
