This 2-day course is designed to teach dentists the procedure of lateral ridge augmentation via guided bone regeneration. Bone healing patterns, grafting materials & membranes, indications & management of complications will be addressed in detail. Atraumatic Extraction and Socket Preservation with bone grafting will also be addressed in detail. Participants will learn about the role soft tissue grafting has in assisting bone grafting and improving the esthetics of implant cases. Treatment planning of participants’ cases will be discussed if such cases are brought to the mentors by the dentists. Suturing techniques will also be demonstrated. There will be two interactive video presentations of surgeries by the course mentor(s) and hands-on surgery training, in simulation with animal mandible.
