Presented with DDX, this full day course, in partnership with the University of Washington and held in via Zoom Webinar, designed to cover seven categories of oral diseases that present as clinically benign-looking when, at times, some carry a serious diagnosis. This course is helpful to dentists,dental hygienists, dental specialties and dental professionals that feel an Oral Pathology review is in order for them and their team. The morning portion of this course is dedicated to soft tissue pathology. It will cover the variability in the clinical presentation of oral squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), which includes association with tobacco, HPV infection, and lichen planus. The morning course will also discuss the oral manifestation of low-risk HPV. The afternoon session will continue to cover soft tissue pathology as well as bone pathology.Every category will start with one or more unknown cases with a differential diagnosis (DDX) discussed interactively with the audience. Clinicians will leave this program with ample knowledge to base their judgment on facts. This course will provide information directly applicable to improving the everyday practice of diagnosing oral diseases.
