After 20 years in her former location, Dr. Gillian Espie felt her practice had outgrown her space. She looked forward to moving to a bright new site, and creating an office where she and her team would enjoy working every day, and where her patients would feel comfortable and well cared for.
Dr. Espie’s vision was to embrace recent changes in professional protocols and incorporate the latest dental technologies within the design. The new Britannia Village location offered an opportunity to showcase these, promoting renewed trust and confidence for patients in a modern, inviting facility.
Daylight pours through the large front windows, setting the stage for a bright and friendly environment. Punctuated by teal blue accents, the use of light, neutral colours infuses an airy quality throughout, which is enhanced by the open ceiling treatment and glass walls.
In the waiting area, patients enjoy the tile-clad fireplace and TV, away from the main traffic flow, and kids can lounge in bean bag chairs with tablets in hand.
The new office incorporates a total of 10 dental & hygiene operatories, and an ample central sterilization, each boasting state-of-the-art equipment. Complimenting the open concept of the treatment area, exposed ceilings add a welcome spaciousness, while linear LEDs efficiently illuminate the windowless back-of-house.
According to Office Manager, Siobhan Little, “Patients love…how bright, modern and clean it looks…As for staff, we all LOVE LOVE LOVE it…(and) seem much happier coming to work. Such a difference from the old space.”
As for the project team, all agree it was a pleasure helping Dr. Espie turn her dream into a reality!
