When I wrote this book, “The Elite Practice Formula”, it was not intended to be the bible of running an Elite Practice. My goal was not to tell you exactly what to do. My goal was to get you to think differently about your practice, and start to question some of the tightly held conventions of our profession.
You will pick up some pearls and learn some things that you can immediately implement, but I will have succeeded if I have ignited in you at least a spark of dissatisfaction with the status quo, and the mindset to start questioning why you are accepting where you are, rather than aiming to realize your true potential.
The best way to get serious value from this book is to read it with a notepad nearby, and for each chapter, write down at least one thing that you know must change in your practice. Then from that list, create action items, and delegate as much as you can of it to get that list done.
If there’s one thing I have seen, it is this: The most successful business owners in any room are always the ones who buy the product that can help them first, and adopt practices before they are the norm. They are also the ones who are decisive and take action quickly.
