When it comes to current trends in dental office design – adjectives such as: professional, relaxing, polished and sophisticated may come to mind. Presentation and initial impression are paramount for establishing and retaining a solid client base.
In the case of Lux Dental – it all started with the practice name. The client wanted to convey a sense of wellness and sophistication, while utilizing the prime location of the site, contemporary Architecture of the building, as well as great exposure to oncoming traffic, in order to create a striking warm environment that portrays a sense of elegant ease.
The geometry of the unit allowed the team at De Style Design, to create a more dynamic layout of the reception area, in order to maximize visibility of the space to the outdoors. The main reception area elements are positioned on an angle relative to the overall square shape of the space. The skewed lines are balanced by the horizontal sightline of wood planks applied to the walls. To add to the wonderful openness of the windows at the front of the unit, the Design team has opted for combining exposed ceiling elements with suspended drywall bulkhead design – framed by a graphic line of accent paint finish. Floor and ceiling elements, along with the positioning of the desk – act in unison to define the angled geometry of the space.
The spa feel of the practice is certainly keeping abreast of current trends, as well as providing a solid marketing foundation to the discerning clientele this state of the art practice is surely to attract.
This project certainly required extensive attention to detail and technical know-how, and is the result of yet another successful Design-Build project collaboration between De Style Design Inc. and Antham Construction.
