The journey to open Blueridge Oral Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) began while Dr. Osama Soliman was still in dental school. During fourth year, he was encouraged by a mentor to explore his options for becoming a specialist. One day he found himself observing a surgical procedure being performed in a local hospital and absolutely fell in love with the idea of being able to serve society as a professionally trained oral surgeon. Upon graduation he took a position as a practising oral surgeon for a very busy practice in a neighbouring community. During that time, people close to him would point out his entrepreneurial spirit, often encouraging him to explore his opportunities. Ultimately, he decided to purchase three specialty practices and merged two of them together. He also decided to design and build a beautiful, brand-new, third facility from scratch (featured here) in Oakville, Ont.
Dr. Soliman chose to build in a visible and easily accessible location in a local plaza. From there, he could serve the vast Oakville community and surrounding areas. Before making his start-up business plans, he decided to tap into the experience, knowledge and wisdom of others that have walked the path ahead of him. After consulting with various peers, he concluded that he must put together a team of highly skilled experts specializing in dentistry to build his dream practice. He wanted to ensure he was not constantly pulled away from balancing his ongoing patient care responsibilities during this process. His highly experienced design team comprised an interior designer, a dental equipment supplier and a builder/contractor all specializing in the field of dentistry. It was important to Dr. Soliman that the details behind the custom design of his practice represent and support the type of advanced, high-tech, high-quality and highly personalized experience being provided in his facility by his entire team.
When first stepping into Blueridge OMS, patients experience a feeling of comfort and elegance, which is initially inspired by the subtly placed wood elements that bring a warm, earthy, natural vibe to the front office space. Behind the reception desk is an artistic, beautifully designed, wooden “custom feature wall” that is both stylish and unique. Slowly and seamlessly, as patients move into the treatment part of the facility, they experience a tastefully balanced transition into a more clinical ambiance that is highlighted by sophisticated cool, white-on-white clinical tones that convey comfort in a high-tech, hospital-grade, sterile space.
By continually investing in new technologies, improving digital workflow and rethinking how to utilize information, Blueridge prides itself on delivering the best possible surgical experiences and clinical outcomes to its patients/customers. They believe that the surgical process can always be enhanced. This means a faster, more relaxed, less uncomfortable experience for patients, as well as a clearer and more streamlined clinical process for doctors. With their carefully selected, highly skilled team, they are able to provide a deeply caring, high-quality patient care experience to everyone they have the pleasure to serve in their beautifully designed facility.
