THE WHY: Clinicians’ story
Dr. Michael Yang and Dr. Oliver Pin-Harry are the dynamic duo behind M Prosthodontics, the brand-new, contemporary facility that opened in February 2020 just prior to the first COVID-19 shut-down. Their journey started at their current Burlington, On. office, where the two aligned in their goal of opening a space in downtown Mississauga, On. to support their local referring practices and their goal of expanding their clinical reach.
THE HOW: Planning & preparation
They began with getting clear on their operational desires, the brand they wanted patients to experience and their unique clinical needs. Just like “treatment planning,” practice planning and strategic goal setting were important first steps that helped them to find them this space within 2 weeks of beginning their search. After 4–6 weeks of negotiations, the space was officially theirs. With four blank walls, and nothing in the interior resembling a dental office, they assembled their construction, design and equipment support teams.
THE RESULTS: Technical features
M Prosthodontics is situated in a large, upscale office building, with state-of-the-art digital technology and the ability to educate colleagues and students in their very own in-house lecture hall. They created five operatories, including one specialized surgical suite. Each operatory has magnificent floor-to-ceiling windows facing the iconic scenery. An interesting detail is the subtle, eye-catching geometric wallpaper that was custom designed to match the glass features situated through the office.
THE IMPACT: Empowered practice outcomes
All of this makes for a very chic, highly luxurious and sophisticated customer care experience. The opulent, brightly lit environment projects the high-quality dentistry that is provided in their beautiful facility. The doctors were quite passionate about creating a place from which they could deliver highly impactful personalized patient care experiences. They are both proud to call it their professional home.
