Our journey to expand Prince Albert Smiles from one to two locations began with a vision: the need to better serve our rapidly expanding patient base. We have created a strong culture of acceptance and warmth for our patients and staff and we wanted to reflect that culture in our surroundings as well. The addition of a coffee station and beautiful stone fireplace adds to the atmosphere of warmth and welcome.
The journey was further facilitated by a well-planned design. A visit to the Adec showroom in Portland, Oregon allowed our team members to determine the best fit of each piece of equipment in each operatory for the individual needs of our clinic. Proper scheduling of construction and installation of dental equipment ensured that the build went smoothly and on time. Carefully chosen materials acknowledge our beautiful Northern setting while enhancing our patient’s level of comfort. Latest cutting edge technology combines with thoughtful design to maximise the patient experience and reinforce the connection between dental team member and patient. Televisions in the ceiling have been a trademark of our practice for twenty-five years and large flat screen televisions continue this tradition. Multiple monitors in each operatory ensure that visual explanation is readily available and enhances communication between team members and patients. Other highlights of the office include spacious, enclosed surgical operatories, which afford both privacy and function during implant placements, oral surgery and other I.V. sedation procedures.
The role of technology in dentistry continues to push boundaries and is an essential component of excellent patient care. Technology combined with thoughtful and attentive office design can help strengthen the bonds between health care provider and patient and contribute to an exceptional patient experience.
