Dr. Koosha received his DDS from the University of SBMU School of Dentistry in 1998 and has since completed extensive post graduate training in Implantology from Harvard; Sedation courses from the University of Toronto; and Orthodontic and TMJ Disorders through Dr. Brock Rondeau Residency. Dr. Koosha practices in Vaughan since 2015, along with his wife, Maki.
When Dr. Koosha immigrated to Canada, he brought with him over 12 years of experience in dentistry, as well corporate business. While he was in the process of obtaining his Canadian licence, he opened a kid’s playground in Vaughan. It was the community playground experience that helped him to understand how important children are. Dr. Koosha says that children might only be 20 per cent of today patients but they are 100 per cent of our future patients. After he opened his first practice in Lindsay, Ontario, he was still dreaming of a dental office/playground combination.
When Dr. Koosha found an office within close proximity to where he lives, his dream finally came true. He began to design a special dental playground within the practice. He enlisted a prominent designer to help create and design a modern and relaxing space with family orientation. He also hired a Canadian playground designer to combine both ideas and bring his vision to life.
The process was challenging at times, as obtaining city approval and passing bylaws was extremely time consuming. But it was his dream to have a dental office and a playground, and hard work made it happen. Dr. Koosha is thrilled to now serve the vibrant north Toronto and Vaughan community.
The theme of My City Dental is meant to attract families, especially children, as it has a designated area for kids. The operatories are divided by a large aquarium, which is very attractive for kids, and even adults.
It is the goal of the entire My City Dental team to educate, empower and support their patients to embrace their oral health, which directly impacts their overall well-being. My City Dental strives to earn confidence and create a long-lasting relationship where patients can depend on friendly conversation and open communication every time you walk in the door.
