American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Announces New President

Dwight G. Rickert, CDT, FAACD of Indianapolis, Indiana, was inaugurated as President of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) on April 21st during the AACD’s annual scientific session in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Rickert is an Accredited Fellow of the AACD, a 6,000-member organization comprised of dental professionals dedicated to advancing excellence in the art and science of comprehensive cosmetic dentistry and encouraging the highest standards of ethical conduct and responsible patient care.

A 4th generation dental technician, Rickert became a Certified Dental Technician in 1996 and soon after opened Preferred Dental Ceramics, a high-quality boutique lab in Indianapolis, Indiana. After joining the AACD in 2000, Rickert earned Accredited Member status in 2006 and earned the status of Accredited Fellow, the AACD’s highest honor, in 2016.

Rickert has served as a member of: the AACD Written Exam Committee; the AACD Editorial Review Board; the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry; the AACD Professional Education Committee; and the AACD Budget and Finance Committee. He has also donated time and services to the AACD Charitable Foundation’s Give Back a Smile program. In his spare time, Rickert enjoys spending time with friends and family, golfing, and traveling.

Rickert’s presidential term with the AACD will continue to April 21, 2018 at AACD 2018 in Chicago.
