The College of Dentistry at USask recently shared that augmented reality stimulators have been installed at their institution, providing dentistry students with an experience that replicates patient treatment.

According to USask, “Dr. Gerry Uswak (DMD, MPH), an associate professor at the college and registrar of the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan, expects the simulators to provide significant benefits as part of preclinical training.”

This technology will allow the students provide treatment on the teeth of virtual patients, from drilling to filling and cleaning. USask is the first dental school in Canada to acquire the simulators.
