Hundreds of patients of a Queensland dental surgery may have been exposed to dangerous bloodborne diseases, including possibly HIV, according to state health authorities.
The Essential Dental for Life clinic in Cairns was shut down by health authorities last month after a concerned patient blew the whistle on practices at the surgery.
Dentist Kenneth Dennys Hossen has temporarily been restrained from practising while an audit is held into his infection control and sterilisation practices.
