Alberta’s COVID-19 restrictions will begin lifting Friday, but it will be at least two weeks until retailers and restaurants can re-open.

Under the province’s plan, unveiled Thursday by Premier Jason Kenney, some boat launches can open Friday and vehicles will have access to parking lots in parks and public lands. Golf courses can open Saturday.

Starting Monday, dental and other health-care workers such as physiotherapists, social workers, occupational therapists and others can begin offering services while non-urgent surgeries, such as cataract and orthopaedic surgeries that have been put on hold, can go forward.
