President and CEO Scott Parrish has announced the promotion of Marv Nelson from VP of Information to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of A-dec. This transition builds on our existing solid foundation and positions A-dec for continued success.
“This company has been extremely fortunate,” said Scott Parrish. “We have a strong Executive Team in place that works effectively together for the betterment of the company. It’s time for me to pass the baton to Mr. Nelson, the Executive Team, and our Directors. They have the task of continuing to grow and plan for A-dec’s future, and I’m confident that this is the right decision to move our company forward.”
Nelson’s career with A-dec began in 2006. He holds an MBA from Gonzaga University, and a degree in business and accounting from Washington State University. For the past decade, Nelson has served as A-dec’s VP of Information and CFO. He also co-leads the company’s corporate strategy, is instrumental in maintaining dealer relationships, and was the Executive Sponsor on the recently completed ERP implementation project.
Outside of A-dec, Nelson serves on the Providence Hospital Foundation Board of Directors and Special Olympics Board member. He is married to Sandy, and has two children, Tyler and Meghan.

Parrish will continue as A-dec’s President and CEO, focusing more of his time on portfolio development and expanding leadership roles within the community. He currently serves as a Corporate Executive for Oregon Business Council for Oregon Healthiest State, will begin a new leadership role as President of Associated Oregon Industries (AOI), and will play a role in launching an Austin family foundation focused on community resources and education.
The Austin|Parrish family’s long-term goal for A-dec is that it remains healthy and successful for future generations of employees, partners and customers.
