Dental Tech Faces Prison for Stealing and Selling Metal Meant for Patients’ Teeth

It was recently reported by the Miami Herald that a dental technician in New York is facing up to 10 years in prison due to stealing metals from the dental clinic he was employed at.

The man stole and sold gold, silver and palladium, which was meant to be recycled and used to make crowns and other materials fort patients’ teeth. He made over $17,000 from the stolen metals.

The dental technician pleaded guilty to theft of government property and is now facing prison time at a sentencing hearing which will take place in October.
