Dentist Alleged To Have Drilled Too Many Teeth And Billed Too Much

Putting fillings into teeth where there were no cavities, and billing for dental work that wasn’t performed, are among the “acts of professional misconduct” alleged by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario against an Amherstburg dentist.

Dr. Zeljko Veselinovic’s case goes before a panel of the college’s disciplinary committee on Oct. 4 in Toronto.

The 32 alleged instances of misconduct cover 19 patients over a period between 2007 and 2014 and include having charged “excessive or unreasonable fees;” recommending or providing “unnecessary dental service;” signing documentation that contained “false, misleading or improper” statements; and submitting “false or misleading” accounts or charges.
