A dentist who says he was forced to close his practice has revealed he was putting huge amounts of his own cash into subsidising the NHS.
Dr Khurrum Hamid has spoken out a week on from shutting the doors to his surgery at Ravensthorpehealth centre – the only dental practice in the village.
His circumstances were brought up by MP Paula Sherriff to highlight the inequality of access to NHS dental services across Kirklees.
