Dentists in Newfoundland and Labrador May Refuse High-Risk Patients

The Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Association (NLDA) says it is recommending its members not accept high-risk groups such as health-care workers, rotational workers and family members of rotational workers as clients until it gets more clarity from Public Health on the consequences of a COVID-positive patient being connected to the clinic.

“This difficult decision was made because if Public Health is willing to shut down a dental clinic that is following all required protocols, we must do what we can to keep any possible exposure out of the clinics,” the association said in a release.
