DMG Supports First CTC Academy Special Needs Dentistry Forum

Event provides training needed to deliver effective dental care to special needs patients

DMG today announced its support, in partnership with Project Accessible Oral Health, Henry Schein Cares, the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and Colgate, of the CTC Academy’s inaugural special needs dentistry forum. The event will take place on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the Academy’s Oakland, New Jersey campus.

The CTC Academy is a non-profit organization that provides educational and therapeutic services for students with a diverse array of developmental disabilities through its collaborative educational program and support services for students and families.

In alignment with CTC’s organizational mission, the forum will bring awareness to the importance of providing children and adults with special needs effective, regular dental care. Clinicians and dental staff in the greater NY/NJ area are invited to this free event to learn the communications and interpersonal skills needed to deliver effective treatment to patients with special needs.

The inaugural forum is intended for general and pediatric dentists, dental office staff, dental hygienists and dental assistants in the Greater New Jersey area, including New York and neighboring states. Highlights of the event include:
