Grichuk Required Dental Work After Taking Foul Ball To Face

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Randal Grichuk had to visit a dentist after an unfortunate incident Thursday against the Baltimore Orioles.

During a ninth-inning at-bat against Orioles reliever Dillon Tate, Grichuk fouled a 93-mph sinker off his face.

The 27-year-old immediately fell to the ground and was attended to by training staff before exiting the game.

After passing concussion protocol, Grichuk was taken to a local hospital for a CT scan, Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo said on Thursday, according to MLB.com’s Zachary Silver.
