In coordination with the Henry Schein’s Women’s Leadership Network (WLN), which launched in November 2017, the Company hosted the Women’s Leadership Reception at the 2018 Association of Dental Support Organizations (ADSO) Summit, held in Austin, Texas from April 18 to April 21. The Reception was attended by nearly 50 women and men from various Dental Support Organizations, manufacturer partners, and Team Schein to discuss women in leadership and the importance of gender diversity and inclusion. AJ Caffentzis, Vice President, North America Dental Group Strategic Initiatives, Henry Schein, spoke about the need for empowerment among women in dentistry.
“As the key sponsor of the 2018 ADSO Summit, and as part of Henry Schein’s commitment to help catalyze innovative change for the industries we serve, we are excited to provide a platform that helps recognize the growing number of women in dentistry, and to host the Women’s Leadership Reception in support of Henry Schein’s commitment to diversity,” said Mr. Caffentzis.
WLN is Henry Schein’s first Employee Resource Group (ERG), which is a voluntary, employee-led network that fosters a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with the Company’s Corporate Charter, Team Schein Values, and business goals. The mission of WLN is to provide a forum that empowers, develops, and connects a network of women to drive business success. The group is open to all Team Schein Members, regardless of gender and level, and participation is encouraged from all.
