High-Profile Lawyers Represent Newfoundland Prison Guards, Nova Scotia Dentist in Court Case

Two corrections officers and a dentist who were reportedly involved in a criminal incident at a Gander dentist’s office are being represented by three well-known lawyers.

When the case of Roy Goodyear, Ron McDonald and Dr. Louis Bourget was called in provincial court in Gander Tuesday morning, they were represented by their counsel — Rosellen Sullivan of St. John’s (for Goodyear), Robby Ash of Corner Brook (for McDonald) and Jon Noonan, who was filling in for Randy Piercey, also of St. John’s (for Bourget).

All three lawyers, who appeared via conference call, along with Crown prosecutor Amanda Hiscock, agreed to set the case over until June 1 for election of plea.
