Newfoundland and Labrador Dentists Back to Urgent Care Only

The thought of sitting in a dentist’s chair — mouth wide open, drill twirling, saliva swirling — may seem like the perfect storm for COVID-19 spread.

But Dr. Michelle Zwicker assures that dental clinics like hers in Bay Roberts have had a year’s practice keeping the coronavirus at bay, and the proof is in the numbers.

“There’s really no reason we can’t be providing full care at this point, because we’ve proven that our offices are safe,” says Zwicker, president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Association.
