A group of students from Queen’s University have launched the Queen’s Dental Aid Network, with the purpose of providing dental hygiene products to marginalized people in Kingston.

The Kingston Whig Standard reports that Connor Hamlyn, a second-year health sciences student, Kianna Niaki and Peter Hwang, both third-year life sciences students, founded the initiative to improve oral health in the community. They have partnered with local dental clinics who have promised to donate overstock or expired products, such as toothpaste, floss and toothbrushes.

The students will then organize the circulation of products to the shelters and charities as needed.
