Queen’s University Students Are Making Oral Health Care More Accessible

After learning about the difficulties marginalized groups have gaining access to oral health care, a group of Queen’s students launched the Queen’s Dental Aid Network (QDAN) to improve dental care in the Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox, and Addington region.

QDAN partners with community members to acquire donations of oral hygiene supplies and redistributes them to programs such as the Adelaide Emergency Shelter, Kingston Youth Centre and the Integrated Care Hub, reports The Queen’s Journal.

The group is currently hiring more members and awaiting ratification from the AMS to strengthen their capabilities and expand resources. They also encourage more students to get involved.
