SciCan’s Toronto Warehouse Gets an Expansion

Addition brings 8,000 square feet to SciCan Toronto‘s warehouseing space.

As demand for SciCan products continue to grow and new products are introduced, the first floor of 1440 Don Mills Road was in need of something more: space. That’s just what we’re getting this summer.

Crews are putting the finishing touches to an 8,000 sq. ft. warehouse addition, which presently houses six four-level rows of bright new orange racking, all sitting empty for a few more days while the 8-inch-thick, steel reinforced concrete slab underfoot fully cures.

“SciCan has been in the current facility since 1994 and a lot has changed since then”, says Rick Warnes, SciCan Toronto’s Facility Manager. The warehouse expansion was necessary to accommodate the continuing production growth and to provide the warehouse personnel the opportunity to reorganize and have a more efficient flow to production material and distributed goods.

The new addition will provide the much needed warehousing space to accommodate SciCan’s continuing growth.
