Dental students from the University of Alberta are helping people with disabilities get the dental care they need. Dental hygiene and dental students hosted a free event on Saturday where they provided free oral health care services and education for people with disabilities or special needs, reported Global News.
The goal for the event was also to teach students how to be inclusive once they begin working in their own practices. The event was called Shared Smiles and co-organized by Allora Mason, a third-year dental student.
