The 34th Annual AACD Scientific Session in Chicago to include Science, Art & Even Some Singing

Attendees of the 34th Annual American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) Scientific Session, April 18-21, 2018 will have plenty of opportunities to unwind and mingle after full days of world-class cosmetic dentistry education. Just as cosmetic dentistry is a combination of science and art, the AACD is bringing both to the social events (and even some singing)!

AACD 2018’s Welcome Reception will be held Wednesday, April 18 at Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry. During the Welcome Reception, attendees can to catch up with old friends or socialize with the biggest names in cosmetic dentistry and the most accomplished members of the AACD while exploring one of the largest science museums in the world. The Museum of Science and Industry boasts more than 400,000 square feet of hands-on exhibits and is home to more than 35,000 artifacts. The night will be full of food, friendship, and discovery, and admission to the Welcome Reception is included in attendees’ tuition.

Then, attendees can experience the joy of giving back Thursday, April 19 at Joy District, Chicago, the venue for the annual AACD Charitable Foundation’s Give Back a Smile (GBAS) event. Tickets to the GBAS event include gourmet appetizers, two drinks, and musical entertainment. Attendees can even show off their karaoke skills! Event proceeds benefit survivors of domestic and sexual violence through the Give Back a Smile program.

To celebrate attendees’ artistic endeavors outside of dentistry, the AACD will be holding a Fine Art Show. The Fine Art Show will feature attendee art on exhibit during a wine and cheese reception prior to the Celebration of Excellence, Saturday, April 21.

Finally, the Celebration of Excellence will close out AACD 2018 on Saturday, April 21 in the Regency Ballroom at the Hyatt McCormick. This year’s event will take attendees back in time for a Roaring 20’s experience! During this Prohibition Era themed party, attendees will celebrate and recognize the newly Accredited Members and Accredited Fellows; present the Evy Awards; and inaugurate the new AACD President. The Celebration of Excellence will include a seated dinner, dancing and a few surprises.
