AACD Gives Students Opportunity to Study Cosmetic Dentistry in DC

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) is giving six deserving students the opportunity to study cosmetic dentistry at the AACD’s 28th Annual Scientific Session in Washington, DC, through the APEX Scholarship Award.

With the scholarship, students’ registration fees are waived, and they receive round-trip coach-class air travel (up to $500), hotel accommodations, and one year of AACD membership.

This year’s winners are:

• Kallie Law, University of Alabama Birmingham;
• Michael Cheng, University of Illinois;
• Alec Zurek, University of Illinois;
• Laura Tulga, Medical University of South Carolina;
• Damir Konakovic, Malmo University (Sweden); and
• Taylor King, University of Tennessee.

Undergraduate dental students are eligible to apply for the scholarships. They are selected based on academic achievement, and their understanding of and commitment to the future of cosmetic dentistry.

While in DC, the winners will receive hands-on training and education alongside of industry professionals in workshops and lectures. They also will have the opportunity to attend AACD’s social events, where they can network with other dental professionals.
