An interview with Chris Chung, CEO of Curion (formerly Bisco Canada).

Q: Bisco Canada has unveiled a new look and leadership team. What can you tell us about this exciting transformation? 

After 30+ years as Bisco Dental Products Canada, I’m delighted to share that we have rebranded as Curion. Accompanied by a fresh look, new logo, new website, we feel our new identity better represents our evolution and will serve as a bright beacon for our future. Built upon the idea of empowering the next generation, Curion seeks to bring a new edge to dentistry with an eye to the future. 

Q: Tell us about the history of the company and how you’ve come into your role as CEO. 

Curion, formerly Bisco Canada, is a family-led company that has come a long way since its humble beginnings when founder Ron Suh laid the first stone in 1991. He started Bisco Canada with little more than sheer determination and the will to establish Bisco as the most trusted brand of dental adhesion in Canada.

I have a profound admiration and respect for what our founder, my father-in-law, built. His determination has been a great inspiration to me, and I am honoured to be one of the stewards to carry on his legacy while continuing to evolve the company towards a future of endless possibility. 

 

Raised in Vancouver (BC), Chris’ entrepreneurial spirit was sparked and nurtured by his family’s various small business ventures.  Equipped with a degree in Biology (UBC), a chiropractic degree (Northwestern Health Sciences University), Chris brings with him unquenchable curiosity. For over 20 years, Chris has led Curion (formerly Bisco Canada) with a vision for what could be possible and continues to shape the path towards the future

 

Q: Does the new name, Curion, have any special meaning? 

The new name and identity, stems from the word “cura” meaning “to care”, and was born out of a desire to reflect our breakout growth as curators of expert-driven dental solutions in Canada. The logo represents harmony, balance and dynamism, paving the way to the future.  

Q: How will this rebrand change the former Bisco Canada customer experience?  

Curion, will continue to curate innovative, high-quality products for dental professionals, backed by extra-mile customer experience and expert-driven education. All brands that were sold under Bisco Canada will continue to be offered by Curion.  

Our new website will offer an enhanced online shopping experience, improved product searchability and filtering, easier access to product information and tutorials, and expert-driven education. 

 Q: How do customers get in touch with Curion now and/or their former Bisco Canada representatives? 

Our inside and outside customer care representatives, telephone numbers and physical address will all remain the same – nothing will change. The only things that will change for our Bisco Canada customers is our new website URL (www.curion.ca), our company emails will now be name@curion.ca. and we will answer the phone as Curion Dental Products.  

Q: What else would you like to share with your Curion (formerly, Bisco Canada) customers? 

Our rebrand harnesses our history to shed light on our strategic vision for the future. As we embark on this new journey, it is our promise that Curion will continue to adhere to the values that got us here, building upon the long-standing relationships that we established as Bisco Canada. Moreover, we promise to extend this mindset to continue to discover new and better ways to positively impact the dental industry.
