With Christoph Werner, 37, the Koelnmesse trade fair management team has gained a new Vice President with a broad range of trade fair experience.
As of 1st April 2012, Christoph Werner will be responsible for events in the House, Garden and Leisure sector and the Health area. Among the trade fairs in these sectors are EISENWARENMESSE – International Hardware Fair Cologne, spoga+gafa, INTERMOT Cologne, the International Dental Show (IDS) and Paint – Finishing & Facade. “In the past Christoph Werner has demonstrated his outstanding skills as a trade fair organizer in his work as the project manager of photokina as well as elsewhere,” says Gerald Böse, Chief Executive Officer of Koelnmesse, describing the new Vice President. “He stands out because of his strong concepts, his good anticipation of new sector trends and his strong commitment to his customers’ success.”
Christoph Werner has occupied responsible positions in the international trade fair business for more than a decade. His first position was that of Sales Executive and Project Manager Sales at Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH. He has been a project manager at Koelnmesse since April 2005. Among other trade fairs, he has been on the support teams for ProSweets Cologne and photokina.
Christoph Werner will succeed Metin Ergül, who is leaving Koelnmesse as of 31st March 2012 to take on new challenges as the managing director of a company in the healthcare market.
