Henry Schein Exposes NYC Students to Opportunities in the Dental Field During GNY

During the 2014 Greater New York Dental Meeting, Henry Schein sponsored students from Brownsville MultiService Family Health Centers’ WATCH program, giving them an opportunity to visit the country’s largest dental meeting and to learn what’s new in the dental industry. The WATCH program prepares vulnerable adolescents of the East New York community to make healthy choices and lead healthy lives. The program also exposes students to all aspects of the health care industry and to the variety of career options if offers.

Students visited exhibitor booths and spoke to industry leaders, including Steve Kess, Vice President, Global Professional Relations, Henry Schein, Inc., and President of the Henry Schein Cares Foundation, Inc., about exciting technological advances in the delivery of oral health care and career opportunities in the health care sector.

Since 2007, Henry Schein Cares, Henry Schein Inc.’s global corporate social responsibility program, has supported the WATCH program by donating equipment for the health center’s new Mandela Oral Health Clinic and providing marketing communications grants for the creation of its oral health program at the WATCH high school.
