Highlights from the 2006 Chicago Midwinter Dental Meeting

The 2006 meeting in Chicago attracted a record attendance of 34,449 with almost 7600 dentists!

There were a number of great speakers and a very busy exhibit floor, with lots to see and learn.

Just a small sampling of some of the new products we saw:

The new “KODAK CR7400” digital radiography system, a flexible system that can help make the move to digital radiography simple and affordable, with minimal practice disruption. The “CR7400” has a very similar workflow to film, minimizing the learning curve. The thin, flexible plates serve as detectors and capture images just like film and the scanning process converts them to digital images and the plates are then erased for reuse. The system is easy to use and integrate, and provides dentists using film with the benefits of digital imaging.

The new “SIROLaser” diode laser caters to a broad spectrum of applications in endodontics, periodontics and oral surgery.
