Jimmy Marketing to be Honored for Commitment to Children in Need of Braces across US and Canada

James “Jimmy” Nicholas, of Jimmy Marketing in Waterford, CT, will be honored at Smiles Change Lives’ (SCL) 7th Annual Gini Awards, on October 20, 2017, in Kansas City, MO. The Gini Awards honors those who have gone above and beyond to inspire hope, raise self-esteem and help change the lives of thousands of children across the USA and Canada through orthodontic treatment.

The Gini Awards are named in honor of SCL founder, Mrs. Virginia “Gini” Brown, whose vision and dedication has created a legacy of care for underserved children in need of orthodontic treatment throughout the nation. This annual event honors the many orthodontic providers, referring dentists, volunteers, sponsors, and board members who have gone above and beyond to support the mission of SCL. SCL works with over 800 orthodontic providers nationwide to provide braces to children throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Jimmy and his team of marketing specialists are passionate about helping practice owners automatically attract more patients. They’ve helped hundreds of doctors throughout the world since 1997, when Jimmy founded the company at just 15 years old.

When Jimmy first “met” Smiles Change Lives at an event through Burleson Seminars, the fit seemed perfect. They went to work giving the Smiles Change Lives website a new look and feel. Systems were set up to help SCL attract more families to help just like they do the practice owners they serve. Jimmy said, “We are excited that our system that works for doctors to attract patients is also working great for Smiles Change Lives to help more kids.”

Smiles Change Lives is a national nonprofit that helps kids get braces who could not otherwise afford them. On average, braces cost $6,000 per child, making them out of reach for many hard working families. Further, orthodontic treatment has long been considered cosmetic by insurance companies, providing little assistance, even for those that are insured. As a result, many children and teens suffer unnecessary discomfort and embarrassment from their misaligned teeth. Smiles Change Lives’ mission is to provide these families with the opportunity to provide their children with braces through its network of over 800 volunteer orthodontists in the United States and Canada.

To qualify for the program, a child must be between the ages of 7-21, have good oral hygiene, not be wearing braces currently, have a moderate to severe need for braces, and meet certain financial guidelines. Families can find out more and apply online at www.smileschangelives.org/apply.
