KODAK 9500 Cone Beam 3D System Now Approved for Sale in Canada
Medium, Large Field 3D Programs Deliver Dual Jaw, Craniofacial Imaging
TORONTO, October 15 — The KODAK 9500 Cone Beam (CB) 3D System, introduced by Carestream Health, Inc. earlier this year and providing three-dimensional imaging of the dental and facial anatomy, is now approved for sale in Canada. The system is being showcased this week at the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) / Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (CAOMS) 91st annual meeting.
The KODAK 9500 3D System enables dental professionals to quickly produce images, ranging from dual jaw to full craniofacial images, while optimizing radiation dose. It is well suited for general dentists and dental specialists performing orthodontic, periodontic and oral and maxillofacial surgical (OMS) procedures including implants, tooth extractions and surgical planning.

Image output occurs in DICOM formats, supporting flexible output options including printing and customizable report templates.

With quality, anatomically correct 3D images down to 0.2 mm voxel (VOlume piXEL) size, dental professionals are able to leverage the image detail of 3D to provide more accurate diagnoses, improved treatment planning and more efficient patient care.
